I just got a 2001 Diablo 180. I was wondering if there was an extended swim platform I could buy for it?

    Looks like my boat.. but i only have the alpha one and 3.0L - very jealous. I think the 4.3 would be a great power plant to have - although the 3.0 has been really good at the pump. I'd love to drive a boat with the volve and penta to compare. I've heard they run smoother.. but I have no idea, no one around here services or works on them

    I don't think it's fare to say they run smoother as the motor itself is basically the same.
    I think the difference I've noticed is in the leg. the Volvo SX leg is so smooth going in and out of gear and there's no gear crashing like you get on some alpha's.
    But like all things a badly setup Volvo will seem terrible compared to a well setup merc
