Default New Barchetta Owner, couple Qs

Moving up from a Skeeter fishing boat with a 70HP outboard to my new to me 1995 Mariah Barchetta 182 with the 3.0 .

Being only my second boat and first I/O drive, I'm certain to run into a few questions. For now, I'll start simply with.... Is there only the one hole dead center behind the drive unit that needs plugged before splashing in the water?
I have a chrome pull style switch just to the right of the key, any ideas on that? it has 2 settings. Everything else seems to be labeled and pretty self explanatory (try to forget I said that when I come back asking my next round of stupid questions).
Oh, also, I have a dual batter setup with a selector switch that will share the charge of the Alt. If I put a trickle charger on just one battery, you think that switch will flip to the second battery when bat#1 is fully charged? Or should I unhook them and charge each separately?

We should have her out on the water this weekend if we can get the rain to hold off. Enjoying your site so far and I'm certain I have lots to learn about the boat.

Lastly, here is the new family member!

Nick.

    Hey Sin ,
    Welcome to MOC!
    Congrats on your new Mariah!!

To answer your plug ? : Yes , only one drain plug in your Barchetta. Don't forget it. It not only scares the hell out of you , but its embarrassing as hell too if you leave it out.

The pull switch : I got no clue. Look for added lighting in the cockpit or maybe in the engine bay.
It's not a makeshift choke setup is it?
Can you shoot us a pic?

Your going to have to charge the batteries separate to do it right. The switch will not "switch over" for you. Might want to think about a "onboard charge system". That way you can plug in and forget about it

    Once again welcome!

an onboard charge system you say... that will be looked into post haste!

The pull switch isn't a choke setup, I'll try to snap a picture of it tonight to see if its suppose to be there or a custom setup. I guess worse comes to worse, I'll start tracking some wires.

I've dipped the fishing boat in without putting in the plug, Agree thats a fast way to look like a tool in front of everyone!!

Ah, that's for charging while out on the water, Correct? I have that all setup. I'm looking for an easy way to put a trickle charger on the boat while on the trailer waiting for our next outing.

Follow up question... What size anchor will I need to keep this boat firmly planted when we stop? I know the boat is about 2250 lbs dry. Any certain kind a crowd favorite?

That charger you plug into 110v at home , dock , etc. It will maintain a constant charge on both batteries , only coming on when needed.

    Charger Specs

I use 2 - 15 lb river anchors on my Diablo , but there are many options available.
