Boat cover needed for 1995 Z202
any Ideas where to get a good cover for my boat?
is it possible to still buy a stock snap on cover??? A local upholstery shop said about $700 - $800 to make one:eek_animated: I would like to still have a snap on cover but I see covers on ebay for $150 so its hard to spend the extra. even tho the covers on ebay are not near as nice. |

This question seems to be getting asked quite often lately. We do have a member (RNR Marine) who advertises quality covers. Contact information is contained in our Original Parts & Vendors List.

800.00 doesn't seem bad to me for a snap on cover custom made for a 20ft boat.
You know the line.........you get what you pay for. The 150.00 Ebay cover is universal fit , lighter material , probably the wrong color , and you'll be lucky to get 2yrs out of it. On top of that it will chafe the gelcoat if it sits outside long. Or worse yet if you trailer with it on. Save up some more moola and get you the "right" cover. :) JMO |
Re: Boat cover needed for 1995 Z202
Mine goes in on the 17th to have one made. I have a 19ft Barchetta. I almost ordered one of the generics but then after a lot of asking around stumbled upon a guy that makes all sorts of custom covers. He quoted me 6 - 800 for a trailerable custom cover with sewn in vents and straps included. Vent poles sold separately. He gives a lifetime guarantee on his craftsmanship against wear holes and stitching. He's a one man operation and has been in business over 20 yrs. Its a couple hundred more than a nice semi-custom cover, but supporting a local business and being able to walk in and talk to someone is worth it. I'll upload some pics of it when its done. :)

Re: Boat cover needed for 1995 Z202
has anyone got a cover from RNR? if so, how do you like it and how do you use it? I am looking for a cover that will work well and go on and off easy with the boat parked in the water. the bad thing is I only have a dock on one side of the boat. will these covers go on and off easy? also how well does the rope work for keeping the cover on the boat in the water?
Thanks, |

That's great news! What was the total cost after shipping?
Please post pictures once you get it - and give us a review. I may have to purchase one in the near future as well. |

I'll post some pics and let you all know what I think of it as soon as it shows up. I am gambling with the color???? I ordered the burgundy, but my boat has alot of sun fading and I'm not sure how it will match. I figured that if the color was off a little i would still like it better than a silver color. time will tell.... |
