Will that window fit?
Hello all,
I'm Joe new to the site. I've had a 1992 2350ZC since 1995. The starboard curved windshield was hit by a huge tree that fell during hurricane sandy, I'm having trouble locating parts. Can someone with a 92ish diablo measure the starboard curved panel lengths of the 4 opposing sides and the taylor made part number. Thanks in advance Joe |
Re: Will that window fit?
I suspect this will be a difficult project for you Joe. We've mentioned this a few times that glass and interior trim pieces are the most difficult things to find for original Mariahs and we dont have a lot of members with your yr(ish)/ model boat so it may take a while before someone responds. I also suspect the Taylor Made part# will be of no value to you as Taylor Made has told us previously that they have very little to nothing available prior to 1997 for a Mariah. Note that sometimes the Taylor Made number is actually stuck inside the window glass track too. :( I take it that buchshot's glass wont fit yours?
Another option to look at might be the glass & framework for sale off of a 2010 R23 that is on eBay right now. Its been there for a while so the vendor might really like to get rid of it and should be able to provide the overall measurements for you. |
Re: Will that window fit?
Buckshots window is pending sale, my luck.
There's another on ebay for a 92 diablo, but its wraped to ship and the guy won't unwrap it. I guess he dosent want to sell. It's the whole can of worms thing. I can change the whole windshield but will the canvas fit. I can have a poly cast window made for under 500, but I can't use the wiper. $3000 for new glass on a 20 year old boat is just nuts. I think it time for a beer. |
