Default Fibrenew

I have someone from Fibrenew coming next Tuesday to repair some small tears in my swim pad and my driver's seat.

I'll post some before and after photos after he's done.

Hoping for good results!

I had forgot about that company. It will be interesting to see the quality of their work.

I and them come out and repair several spots on my 272 when I bought it. IT WAS A WASTE ! They putty over all the seams so those are gone and stick out. The color was off a tad so in the direct sunlight you could see the repair, ant then after one month it peeled off. I had the guy out again to repair and he put a glue over the repair, and after a month that glue turned pee yellow. I spent about half of what it cost to replace with new. Save your money and find a good upholstery shop

These tears are on the white on the back edge of the swim pad. He shouldn't have to go into the color and no seams are involved.

He said it won't work if the the upholstery has started getting brittle due to age.

Can an upholstery shop repair it or would they have to make a new one?

The rest of the pad is in excellent condition and I want to keep original as long as I can.

I'm not expecting perfect, just want to stop the tears from getting worse and be less noticeable.

This guy has done a lot of work for the local hospitals on their furniture.

I'll express these concerns before he starts.

I had tears there too that he would not touch. I ended up buying some remnant upholstery close to the color and then glued a strip along the back. My Sun platform is at the shop now. The total cost to make it exactly like original is $650 This is a huge platform so I thought the price was really good.

I can't find the before pictures, but there was a 1 inch tear in my drivers seat and several tears on the back edge of my swim deck. It's not perfect, but you have to look really closely to tell it's repaired.

I recommend them for small repairs, if you have a lot of tears, you are better off redoing the upholstery.

I have no idea why the photos aren't coming through..... I pasted the links to add image from my Dropbox account.

I have posted them on the Mariah Facebook page.
