5 gallons ? doesnt your bilge pump turn on ? Im lucky if I see 1/2 gal. I from time to time manually turn on the pump and once in a while it spits for a minute.

Re: 214 Jubilee - what in the hull

I have '97 Jubilee. The water in my boat came from one of the drain tubes which delivers water from the two drain sinks on both the right and left rear corners of the boat. Not only will the boat take on water in the event of rain, it will take on water anytime the two drain holes on the exterior of the boat come below the water surface on which you are operating the boat. The more water the boat takes on the lower it sinks into the water, the more water it will take on. I would check these two tubes. In addition it would seem you should check the reason the bilge pump didn't kick on. If the water level gets too high you will be replacing the starter on the engine as it becomes submerged.

You bought a great boat. I have had mine for 14 years. Very few problems. Good Luck and God Bless!!
