1996 z210
Can anyone tell me how the headrests attach to the rear deck or bench? I am in the process of rebuilding the boat after the guy before me destroyed the interior. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1996 z210
Mine were attached with 2 hex head x 1/2" x 2" lg bolts just offset from center.
I suggest if you havent already to use treated wood or a plastic for the support. |
Re: 1996 z210
so they are attached to the sunpad? all I have are the headrests no brackets or anything. is there anyway that you could show me a picture?

Sound like a lot of trouble!
You should just sell me your headrest and save yourself a lot of hard work  |
Re: 1996 z210
ha ha, nice try. :rolling_laugh: i looked too hard to find them. i got them for free to which was the icing on the cake. I bought a trailer from a place up here and they had a 96 z210 that they were parting out and i found them sitting int he swim locker under water. I just need to figure out how they are attached

Here's one of mine removed. It looks like I'll have to cut the vinyl on the underside to get to the bolts. The nuts are inside the headrest. Mine were completely rusted away.

Does this help? I won't be uncovering my boat for another 2 weeks, but then i can get a pic. "EDIT" As Husker said you have to cut a X on the underside to see the bolt head. Since this is hrad to see when the deck is open I didnt mind doing this. It can be recovered later anyway. |
