Battery Disconnect Switch
After turning off battery disconnect switch,only one battery I still have power going to all of my gauges.1999 Mariah Jubille

I would start with checking your disconnect switch and make sure that it is not wired up incorrectly. If it is, I would then put a meter on the switch output and see if voltage is coming out even if it is in the off position. To me, it sounds like either an incorrectly wired switch, or a shorted out switch. Also, might sound silly, but I would check the terminals on the back of the switch and make sure that the wire connectors on the different poles are not touching. They can get REAL close sometimes!

Found a small wire connected to the + side of the battery that was in red. Put it to - and now switches turn off. Checked out battery disconnect connections all clean and
working. |
