Default Boating in Milwaukee Question???

Hey MOC friends, I am going to be in Milwaukee at the end of May for a week for a convention and I was looking on line and understand it is a great place to go. I have never been there or ever boated on lake Michigan, do you have any pointers for me to help aid my decision. I will only be able to boat for 3 out of the 10 days I am there but I am going back in August for another week for Harley Davidson 110th Anniversary and was maybe going to take boat with me then also. It just looks like a great place to boat. Give me some inside tips please if you have any.

I live across the lake in Michigan, and have done the crossing to both Milwaukee and Green Bay. Lots to do and see on Lake Michigan but end of May temps will make for some really cold boating. Even if a heat wave hits, the water temps on Lake MI can cool things down quick. As for the 110th... I'll be there as well. My suggestion is, if you never been to any HD parties in Milwaukee...leave the boat home. You will be so occupied with things to do, places to be, and sights to see, you will never have time to deal with the boat.
