If you can get access to the control box under your dash , sometimes there is a sticker on it with the code. If not, try "0000". I tried to find my emergency override code, and even called Mercruiser/Quicksilver as the manual states to do. They had no idea and offered no support since the product was discontinued years ago.

That's good to know there is so much support for the keyless entry!
On a positive note, I love it! Just hope I never needs to reset or seek help.
Forgot the key at the house on day so I downloaded the file from MOC and we were boating without a key in no time!

I'll give that a shot. Should be able to get my hands on the back of it to check for a code.

Agreed, I had it in my Z250, and I don't have it on the Z280. For some weird reason I kinda miss it.

Sceptre115- If you can't get it to work, you might be able to just swap it with another one. Occasionally you can find brand new units on ebay, usually from dealers clearing out their back stock rooms, or people that stumble upon them somehow.

Getting ready for the first run tonight. New motor is in and running well. Rebuilt 502 with a few little extra goodies. Trying a 26 inch prop.

Anything over 50 and I'll be happy.

Z302 w/ 502. Running a 24p Prop, running 5200 RPM, rev limiter kicks in at 5300.

Re: 275 and 302 mid cabin questions

so far so good, haven't run it very hard yet. looks to be close to 100 rpm per mph. 3000 rpm is about 31 ish on gps.

I've gotten it up to 4500 rpm for some short bursts. we will see how easy it hits max RPM's. I'm thinking I don't want it going over 5100. I have a lot of throttle left running at 4500.

Very nice riding boat.
