Re: 275 and 302 mid cabin questions
Well......I took the floor up in the mid cabin and yup... Full of water... Spent a few hours trying to get it to drain and its stopping at the bulk head right behind the gas tank. Air goes through etc... Anyone had the tank out? I'm curious what the drain hole looks like under the tank. The entire thing is full of water. Must be 20 gallons at least. Pulling the tank after I get the gas out.
I'll get pics once the tank is out. |
Re: 275 and 302 mid cabin questions
when i pulled my motor, i pull a 2" hole saw hole thru that bulk head and now I have no more drainage issues. I slid a piece of 1/2" board between the tank and the rear bulk head so to make sure I didnt puncture the tank. The water flows like a mad man now.

Re: 275 and 302 mid cabin questions
Same problem I have. Did that bulkhead have a drain hole to start with?
Taking tank out tomorrow. Unless it some how fixed itself over night :) |
Re: 275 and 302 mid cabin questions
I think the drain was beneath the inner hull. I fixed it though

Re: 275 and 302 mid cabin questions
Fixed it last night. I was almost to the point of pulling the tank. For the hell of it I used a flashlight to look up the transom plug and saw the drain hose from under the gas tank. Was about 6-7 inches in on the left. Coat hanger and 10 seconds problem was solved. It's only a 1 inch hose. Plugs up easy.

Re: 275 and 302 mid cabin questions
Anyone know how to reset the electronic keypad? I have the manual for it, but it says to use the emergency override code.... well if i had that I wouldn't need to reset the code LOL.
