1998 Talari 241 Top Speed?
 

Hey everyone, newbie here. I just bought a 1998 Talari 241 with a 7.4. I'll start off by saying that I LOVE it. Me and the family have already had a ton of fun on the water. Anyway, I was looking around in the different forums and have seen people with the same model stating they are getting 50+ as a top speed. I'm only able to get to 41 mph at 4200 rpm. I thought my speedo was off so I used the gps on my cell phone and sure enough....41 mph. I'm not sure what prop is on it but does my top speed sound right or is there potential with a different prop? Thanks.

First thing i would suggest is to confirm what prop is on your boat. We can go from there but you should be able to do better than 41mph.
