Re: Hatch Cover Flies Up
Thanks for the tip Mosky. Ya know I thought about doing just that, but figured that it wouldn't be enough. It happened the very first time we towed when the boat was brand new. Wouldn't have even known that it happened, but for another motorist catching up to us and waving frantically. It just about ripped the shock mounts right off the cover. Luckily no damage except to the ego. Since then we've just always put all the covers on because it was such a harrowing experience, but my wife hates dealing with the covers. They're made of the same stuff as the seats and they DO NOT STRETCH!

Re: Hatch Cover Flies Up
i bought a hatch lock (the kind u have to turn to unlock)and i mounted it on the top side . i used a hole saw and drilled thru top so the lock would line up with the frame...it works great.beins that sun deck lid acts like a airplane wing and lifts up while going down the highway...

Re: Hatch Cover Flies Up
Hmmm.........I guess it's like the latch on the floor locker...a little nervous about drilling through the upholstered deck !

Re: Hatch Cover Flies Up
right but once its in it recesses nicely.better yet does your rear seat flip forward?

Re: Hatch Cover Flies Up
Yes it does. The whole assembly is on hinges

Re: Hatch Cover Flies Up
simple fix then screw a ring mount to the bottom side and use a strap like whats on a tiedown to ancor to floor..so u will have to flip seat forward to unlatch

Mine has done it once and it was because I didn't have the straps snapped in place. Hasn't done it since
