$80 will get me a little over a half tank. Less if I go to the fuel dock at the marina... :(

WOW  , how much is the gas over on your side of the world?

Do you fill up a the marina or at a gas station before launching?

First time owing a boat with a 76 gallon tank, figure it'll set me back over $250 to fill it up! :eek_animated:, I think I better get a second job before spring gets here.....

Gonna be a poor WetWilly

Gas at the pump here is about $1/litre, and 1 US gal = 3.79 litre.

My Shabah has a 40gal (152 litre) tank.

Gas at the marina is typically 15 to 20 cents/litre higher, so I only fill up there if I'm feeling too lazy to haul out and trailer to the local gas station. The savings of course are incentive enough to do this, especially if she's ridin' on E...

As my dad always said: "Fuel costs? Who cares? The boat doesn't go anywhere without it!"

I really need to get a sticker made up that says: "My boat is using what your hybrid is saving." :rolling_laugh:

I might be slow, but you know what .. my boat sips fuel.

I take a 10L and 25L tank to the gas station @ my cottage (20min drive one way). Bring the tanks back to the boat in the morning, fill up the boat and it's good for the weekend and possibly into a second weekend. That is all based on how far and how long we are in the boat. Some weekends we just go out and anchor and swim and relax and drive back to the cottage.

I know I have posted this comment on here a while ago, but I think I figured my gas spending over the season to be around $200-$250 range. Probably closer to $250. I know I did not touch $300 for the season.

Oh the other thing is, I have never filled up my boat @ a marina before.. heh. I do it off the back of the boat, just like im filling up the lawnmower.

Z202, another saying " you gotta pay ... to play". Spending time on the water, nothing else like it. :wink_thumbup:
You should add that last line into your signature... haha thats funny man.
