Default Should i take the plunge!!??

I have been offered a z302 shabah mid cabin with tri axle trailer for $4000. yes 4 grand! it was last registered in 08 and was shrink wrapped in a driveway for years until the wrap broke off. interior is fair to poor and rough from the sun..there is 2" of water in the mid cabin because the front door was open but overall is complete and looks ok. should i do it....may be too much boat for what i need but i believe i can clean it up and flip it for some $$$$$ any comments would be appreciated! all red gelcoat needs a good polish and the 496ho motor was supposedly winterized, trailer has 6 flats and some rust. i would try and start it prior to purchase. it is an amazing boat

I would be careful trying to start it, first I would get the old fuel drained out before you try to start the motor. But for 4K I would be all over it I like to make a small investment with high profit!!!!!!! Got any pics?

no pics yet but i will try to get down and take some. i am weary of it needing more work than i am ready to do. i have had a few boats and keep one in the water in the summer months so i am familiar with the drill. i have the inital money available but just dont have alot to dump in once the purchase is made....do you think it would sit around or is it rare enough people would jump at it. it is on the jersey shore and hasnt been advertized. i left a note on the owners door over the winter and he just called me. he is selling his house and is desprate to get rid of it

You may be able to get it for a little less??? Look around these boats sell for 25k+ in really good shape so there should be room for $$$$$ LoL Good Luck and if you get pics it would be great to see them and the Jersy shore is not that far from Md!

The water sitting in the hull for possibly four years would make me the most nervous. Maybe a moisture meter could provide some confidence there?
I'd sure think if you do the work yourself you could make quite a bit of money if you could even make yourself sell the thing when you're done.

i do love the boat! just may be too big for barnegat bay where i spent 99.9% of my time on the water. it is the same as the red one in boatcrazys pics. a truly amazing boat....the water is just on the cabin floor. the plug is out and the bilge is dry

I can't believe you have to ask - go buy it! Worst case - you clean it up and sell it for more later. Heck, I'll give you $4500 for it as is right now!
