Default New Here! 1990 Mariah 1850 XL MINT!

Hello! New to the Mariah boating community and had a few starter questions.

I just sold our rinker over the weekend and have been looking for a another boat.

This is what I have found.

1990 Mariah 1850 XL
V-6 Mercruiser with 250 original hours, says that boat has a top speed of 60mph. ? this???
5 blad stainless prop
Custom trailer
captain chairs, sundeck, ice chest, surround sound
spotlight
garage kept

This boat is in mint condition inside and out.
Show room condition.
The owner of our local marina bought it brand new and has only used for show.
It is priced at 5,500.
My question, I have never heard of the boat and can not find alot of information on it.
How reliable is this boat? Quality of the boat verses a rinker and sea ray of this same age? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The build quality is on par with Sea Ray and Cobalt, second to none.
The most information for these boats is right here at the Owner's Club.
The top speed sounds slightly optimistic. It's probably more like a 50mph boat, I would think.

    Good luck with your decision!

Thanks So much for the reply.
What do you think of the price?
According to the NADA, the price is alil high.
However the boat is in new condition.

This was the very first production year for Mariah Boats so there wont be many of them out there to compare against but there are a few members here with that particular model and Admin has a few pics of one showing in our Gallery of Pics. The price may be a tad high but it would depend on the condition & maintenance history of the boat & whether or not you feel its worth it and there is always a little room for negotiation! As for the speed, there is no way that boat will reach 60mph unless the prior owner was using a really optimistic speedo. Top speed will be in the 48-50mph range.

Based on what you said about the condition I think the price sounds pretty reasonable.
I think I'd find some comfort in a 1 owner boat when the previous owner owns a marina.

Price souds ok to me (Though I would try to talk him down a little ) Mariah's are GREAT Boats... I'm on my second one. I just upgraded to a '97 210 Shabah LE (Pictured), nothing wrong with the '96 Shabah 180 that I owned for 10+ years.
