I just purchased a 1997 Mariah Z241 Talari Open Bow.

Reading this discussion, it looks like the "1" model should be a closed bow. I am confused.

What do these WINGS look like?

Your "241" looks a lot like WetWilly's 240.

Look at the avatar right above your post. Where the back of the glass attaches, those are "wings". See how your class comes all the way down to the flat gunnel... no wings.

I looked at both for a while before getting my Shabah. What I've noticed, when I'm tied off at a dock, if we are working with kids/coolers, it's a little more work getting everything in and out. I do like the higher sides if I'm sitting on the bench, but its not the quick step in and out with the little ones. You'll be happy with either!
