Question Someone please help!

Hello All, I recently purchased my Mariah boat a few months ago from the professed original owners. I fell in love with it because I own a fiberglass treatment shop and have always admired the Mariah boats. So to make it short, I brought this boat in as a treatment for oxidation issues, and ended up buying it becaue it was a rare look and very desirable due to the black color that matched my truck

Anyways, I need help trying to find out if this boat is a rare breed, because I can't seem to find many like mine in the Shabah Black custom mfg color, and I am tempted to put it up for sale if its just a common boat, and upgrade to a newer one. Although, if its rare I would prefer to keep it as a collectors item, so far my research is pointing me towards a rare find...Anyone out there that can help?

Also, as a new member I would like to start posting some photos, and can't seem to figure out where to upload? Help again?

Thanks again!
Mr. James (aka) Mariah Shabah Black[/SIZE]

    Congrats and welcome the board!

The solid black gelcoat means it is a "Limited Edition" model boat. This was an option package that could be purchased at the time of manufacture for around $2k or more. There are other black gelcoated Mariahs out there, but nowhere near as many as the standard white or multi-colored gelcoat models. So yes, it's a somewhat rare boat.

As for posting pics, we always love to see them!

    Here's some help for you.

We're not going to be able to tell you exactly how 'rare' your particular boat is unfortunately. And...as highly as we think of our Mariah boats, i dont think any of them will become a 'collectors item'. You can check NADA for an approximate value as well as search the net on similar LE versions for sale (which might yield very few).

Wow, that is a nice looking rig. I say keep it!

Did the LEs come with the matching convertible tops like that or is that aftermarket?

Thank you sir. I really appreciate your information, and I contacted the actual buyer co. for Mariah boats and they also advised me to book it at Nada, but to use the booking value based on the Mariah Inc and not to book it as Mariah boats when choosing a mfg.

Hopefully, this information helps others book their own Mariah boats too
    Again, thank you very much.

    Thanks

My convertible bimini matching top has tag on it that shows it's from Mariah, and seller informed me it came with boat specifically in this color black too.

Again, thank you for your feedback and happy boating!
