Need Help From A Mariah 212 or 211 owner
They may also be some other models that could help as well .
The back seat on boat when lifted ,three seats all together as one, have a drain plug going down through right and left side bottom ,to the carpet on floor. I noticed that the is no hole under the carpet on my boat. I cut away the carpet today. Can any one shed some light or be able to take o picture or there floor if it has a hole. I dont want to take a chance running a drill bit down through floor until I get a confirmation. Thanks My boat is a 1995 Z211 |

Ours is similar, Its at the lake so I could see tomorrow but from memory the hole is only in the seat section an not in the floor itself. I can tell you for sure there are no holes in my flooring below that seat as I had it forward a lot this winter and would have seen them easily as that was my work station for about 20 hours.
I never really thought about it needing to drain. I am certain mine will never be full of water unless we are going down. And then I just hope the bilge pump keeps up till I hit the shore! Hope that helps |

I have a 93 Shaba 212 and have had the seat unhinged to work on motor. I assumed the seat just drained to bilge via floor, I don't have a hole in floor. Makes me think, should I be proping seat forward after day of tubing and skiing to let floor dry under bench? I think there is two metal strips on floor to create drain and air space at back of seat. I would not think drilling a hole will help, the gas tank is back there.

Re: Need Help From A Mariah 212 or 211 owner
Since I keep mine in the garage, I take the stuff out of the seat compartments and leave them open to dry. I also have a small block of wood I use to prop up the seat to allow air to get between the seat and the floor.
My boat looks like a dump for a few days, but then I put it all back together when I know it's dry. |
