Hard starting 4.3LX
I have a 1992 MX20 with the 4.3LX. It has a Weber 4bbl carb. When the boat sits for a week it appears that there is no gas in the carb. The boat will start only after extended cranking. My question is where does the gas go and what can be done to prevent it from draining or evaporating from the carb. Thanks, Steve.

Re: Hard starting 4.3LX
I had the same symptoms and replaced my anti-siphon valve at the fuel tank and it was gone. Normally they are the barbed fitting connected to the fuel tank. My boat has a hatch in front of the engine to access the fuel tank. Good luck!

Re: Hard starting 4.3LX
I've got the cold start problems as well with my '96 Shabah 180 4.3lx. Do you know what size Anti Siphon valve I would need? There's a 1/4" and a 3/8" barbed valve. I don't have access to my boat at this moment to check the valve myself.

Re: Hard starting 4.3LX
Mine was a 3/8" barb fitting with a 1/2" NPT. I'm assuming that is what yours will be but I can't say for sure.
