Drive Shower.

The top of my outdrive is chalky white, I've heard that if I put on a drive shower it will eliminate the cleanup. My boat only has the 4.3 V6 on a Alpha 1. any ideas.

Yes, the drive shower can benefit any outdrive . When running at WOT or near it, the top of the drive is running out od the water and heats up. Once you pull back the throttle, the drive is submerged and what you see is the calcium resedue.

One other tip is to run a good synthetic gear oil which will lower gear temps and in my case has lowered the amount of white calk stains.

I know folks will debate syn motor oil but there is no debating Synthetic gear lubricant. I have been running my Alpha One for 15 years without one issue with Syn Gear lube. And the last 6 years with my 355 Perf SB high torque high RPM conditions:wink_thumbup:

Take Care All

I just realized that I'm not having that problem this year.

Somebody take the minerals out of the water?
