Z222 Shabah

I have a 2000 Z222 Shabah. I love this boat, it's great running and the family and I have nothing but a great time when we take her out. My only concern is I an finding some cracks in the hull on the underside. I wondering if this is common for these boats and what I can do about getting these fixed. The hulls are supposed to have a Limited Lifetime Hul Warranty. Is it still possible that the warranty still stands? Is there a way to contact someone to find out about any warranty? Who would I take the boat to have the repairs done?
As I said, I love this boat. I take the best of care of her. She is in great shape. I keep her clean and neat and mechanically sharp, you could practically eat off of this eleven year old engine.
Can anyone offer me some suggestions?
Thanks, Bill Smith

Sorry Bill but the "Limited Lifetime Warranty" went out at the same time the company declared bankruptcy back in 2002. It's not usual though for the original boats to develop hull cracks. Can you post up a couple of pics showing what these cracks look like?

Mike, That's kind of what I thought, but I was hoping for something different to make it easier. I am looking into doing the fix on the cracks myself. I have had some experience with working with body fillers in the past. It's just that I have to climb under the boat while on the trailer, you know how that goes. I also done some research on the proper way to repair and cure the gel coat repairs.
I will take some pictures and post them, when I have gotten under the boat.
Thanks, Bill

Bill,
Are the cracks very fine (what they call spider cracks) which are just cosmetic. Or are they large enough to see below the gel coat to the fiber glass? I have them on my boat but all in the interior in high stress areas. I have none on the outside of the hull. If they are the fine gel coat type they usually will not allow water intrusion but keep an eye on them. I would also let a Pro who has worked with gel coat to do any repairs so that in the end it will be unnoticed.
