Newbie greenhorn question

As i put in an earlier post im a first time boat owner. (96 mariah shabah 252) The other evening we decided to take it out and stayed out later than i had planned, I went put in my anchor light and it didnt come on and i also couldnt get the red or green lights to come on that are on the sides of the boat. (luckliy i had a light to use as an anchor light).. To be perfectly honest im not really even sure if im turning on the right switch/switches, I am fimiliar with all my switches on top of the dash (2 accessory, bilge, blower, wiper on right side and dock lites transom lites, courtsey lites on left) there is two UNIDENTIFIED switches/knobs just to the left of the ignition key that im not sure what they do. Any one with any information on this or that could just basically walk me through the process of getting these thing on id greatly appriciate it.....Bulbs are good

The switches are different on many of these boats. I have 3 rotary knobs by the ignition. 1st is the blower, 2nd is a dimmer for the gauge lights and 3rd is a 2 position for your lights.

I have these two round switches as well, and the left one is a selector switch for the lights, it is three position for different light choices and then the right one is a dimmer for the gauges.

Hope that helps and congratulations on the nice boat.

Probably a good idea to get familiar with all controls before getting on the water. I agree the knobs are probably by the ignition.

Did you find where the fuses are located? perhaps it's a fuse or corrosion. Good luck, hopefully it's something simple like controls. I can't imagine trouble shooting the wiring on the bigger boats... they had so many options. My little Diablo doesn't have much and is pretty simple, which bums me out...but then again... if anything happens.. perhaps i'll be able to fix it without pulling all my hair out.

your light switch should be turned one way for just anchor light and the other way for anchor and running lights. when its in running light mode your gauges will also light up.

My Z210 has the 3 position light switch just right of the ignition, then the dimmer switch and then the blower switch.
