Default New to me 2200 ZC LTD

Just bought a 1991 Mariah 2200ZC LTD with a 350 OMC King Cobra. The boat only has 180 hours on it and is in mint condition. It was always stored in a climate controlled garage, The gelcoat and interior are near perfect. Everything seems to work lights, electric seat, hatch etc, but the gauges are questionable. The electronic dash works for the most part, but looks like something that could cause problems later.
The motor starts and runs fine but I'm only getting about 3600 to 3800 rpm out of it if my tach is correct. The boat currently has a 14 x 19p alloy prop. My gps speed is 43. The boat comes out of the hole good and gets on plane. I'm not sure it's the prop. What did these come with stock?Seems to me this boat with this set up should run high 40's to low 50's. Any ideas where to start looking? I am currently getting the impeller replaced.
So far we love the boat it rides great, just need to work out a few issues. Most of them are probably a result of the low hours.

I wish I could help answer your questions, but I'm sure another member will know the answers. I'm just not familiar with your setup enough to make any suggestions. If you have time post some pictures on this thread so we can all admire your new to you boat! Good luck and happy boating.

+1 on the pics. Congrats on the new boat.

I agree with your speed expectations with that setup. 43 GPS at 36-3800 actually sounds pretty good. If you were getting closer to the max RPM range of 44-4800 then you'd probably be closer to the top speed you're expecting.

Did Mariah use OMC motors early on?

Yep, they offered OMC King Cobras, Yamahas, and Mercruisers. They phased out Yamaha and OMC eventually went on to become the Volvo Penta line, since VP supplied OMC with the majority of the parts for their engines & sterndrives in the first place.
