Alarm Wiring

Thanks to the people on the forum, I was finally able to rebuild my console, install my radio and speakers, and reinstall the wiring for the kill switch. The previous owner cut the kill switch wiring (two purple wires) and placed an alarm sensor in between to bypass it. I am now left with a alarm sensor that has a tan/blue wire on one side and purple on the other. Can someone tell me where the purple side should be connected. A friend of mine says it should be connected directly to the ignition switch. The tan and blue side is already connected as it should be. I have seen the wiring diagrams on here but still cant find what I am looking for.

I believe, stress believe, that originally the buzzer was connected in parallel with the hot side (incoming power) that runs to the line side of the kill switch. The purple wire on the kill switch will, as your friend stated, end up at the ignition switch. Basically, the buzzer wire and ign. wire in one end of a barrel connector and the other side of the connector feeds a single wire to the kill switch.

Thanks Cliff. My boat wiring was a mess and wanted to be sure I got it squared away correctly.
