Default Help !! Alarm Problem

Alarm Problem
1994 Shabah 212. When key is on for 15-60 sec or longer alarm DOES NOT sound. I ground the temp wire at the sensor alarm sounds. Worked fine last year. Not sure where the Oil sending unit is located. How can this be tested? The LIGHT BLUE (LIT BLU) Oil Pressure Sender wire is connected to the buzzer. Cant chase the wire from there. I’ve read something about an “alarm module” and a “alarm transducer” same thing? what are they? Can they go bad?

Also, Does anyone have a wire diagram of the dash?

Yes they can go bad. I replaced my piezo (speaker) a few years ago. I don't know exactly what color the sensor wires are on your engine, but mine are Tan with a Blue Line. I used the wiring diagram from the Mercruiser Service Manual to check the wiring on my alarm system to make sure everything was wired properly. Since you're a contributing member, you have access to both the Mercruiser and the Mariah wiring diagrams here on the site. The alarm system tends to be a somewhat hot topic, so if you can't figure it out, post your questions and we'll try and help you out as much as we can.
