I have the cockpit and bow cover on. the snow is pulling it pretty tight. should I have another cover on. I've noticed another coarse of snaps under the trim line.

Do you have any poles under the top holding it up? I would recommend not putting another cover on top, as it will close in the "breathing abilities" of the existing top, and allow mold and mildew to grow...

The lower set of snaps is for the optional mooring cover. Mine is showing it's age, but I love it! It covers all fiberglass exposed to the sun (above the rub strip) and keeps everything much cleaner than the bow and cockpit covers.

I definitely wouldn't allow snow to pile up on ANY top though! The covers are meant to shed water, not hold the weight of snow. It will at least stretch the top, if not rip it to shreds. I would suggest having it shrink wrapped if possible. If not, make sure you brush the snow off as soon as possible. I'd be worried about even 1 inch of snow on it - that's a lot of weight that it's not designed for.

I agree with Chris - 2 covers would trap moisture.

I don't know, but the whole idea of shrink wrapping seems to me like an express ticket to a moldy boat. Am I wrong?

Just glad mine sits inside a steel building for the winter.

The difference is (or at least the thought behind it)... shrink wrap won't allow moisture IN. A canvas top obviously will. Of course, the perfect scenario would be to have a DRY boat when it gets shrink wrapped.

I'm with you - indoor storage no matter what the cost!!!

I'm planning on storing it inside for the rest of the winter. the last two storms put a lot of stress on the top.
