Fuel filter location?

Hi!
Can you guys tell me where the fuel filter is supposed to be on a 4.3 Volvo? I am confused as to the location because I cannot seem to find the filter on the engine block where the manual tells me it should be. I found one filter on it but it looks like an oil filter. I found another filter like setup but it on the inside transom wall. Hence my confusion. Attached are the pics of my engine bay. The last two are of the filter like setup on the transom wall.
Thanks a bunch guys.

Re: Fuel filter location?

The picture number 5, I think is what you said is a filter looking thing. That is your pump for the hydraulic trim operation. It is possible you do not have an actual water fuel separation filter. It looks about like the size and shape of the oil filter.

Sorry I do not know where to direct you, I just thought I would identify the trim pump. You can make sure I am correct by having someone hit the trim while you are close to see if that actuates.

And thanks for the spark plug identification. I guess Im ok on the right plug.
