Electric Hatch Lifts
To those who've actually got functioning electrical hatch actuators for lifting the rear sundeck/engine cover, can you all check it and see if there's a specific model number on it? If so, let me know. This has been a pretty hot topic recently, so I'm trying to compile a list of the boat models and the actuators that were used for each. If you've got photos too, please post!
Here's the info I need! Year: Model: #of Actuators: Actuator Model#: Thanks guys! :wink_thumbup: |

Z212 2 actuators Accu Lift MQ347 PV24183Q 12VDC heres a couple pics. I have had some struggle with them activating at the same pace as well as some other threads indicate. They took a lot of grease, and that helped alot. Checked all wiring and no issues, so I ran a 2 wire ckt to the dash and put a toggle switch in to intercept one of the rams on the way down to let the other one catch up. That was my solution for the difference in speeds and that seems to work great. They are still pretty slow though. Attachment 3010 Attachment 3011 Attachment 3012 Attachment 3018 |

Re: Electric Hatch Lifts
My 1994 Z212 has two lifts on the rear deck. I can not read the name or model numbers, but they do not look anything like the ones in Zackattack's thread. Mine is more in-line, does not have a gearbox on the side. One side works, the other does not. I have both cylinders disconnected right now. Manually lift the deck and prop it open for now. Right side cylinder works fine. The left side will not work. I removed it and tore it apart in the shop, no problems seen. Hooked it straight to 12 V and it worked fine. Hook it into the boat wiring and it does not work. The voltage going to the cylinder is around 9 V. Battery is fully charged and I can hook the lift straight to the battery and it works fine. Will take pictures and post later.
Any Ideas? |
Re: Electric Hatch Lifts
HAs to be the wiring. I would see if you can get to the connection where it splits from one side to the other and redo that connection. If not, abandon that line and run a new one from the right side cylinder to the left in a new line. Its likely a bad connection though. Maybe even the quick connect at the cylinder.

Chris,
I had to order a new one in 2006. I found a distributor from this site and had to order through him. I can't find any paper work from then. CAT Series - SKFLinearmotion/Products/Actuation systems/Linear actuators Hope this helps. |
