Hi guys
when i bought my mariah the lift motor was disconected and seized, i stripped it down and freed up the bearings and it works ok, the wiring connection to the motor is just two wires i connected them up but the motor does not work, i dont know if the motor has to have a seperate ground or not , also the bottom bracket is missing,so does any one got any ideas on the connections and bracket, i am using gas struts at the moment the seem to work pretty good but i would like to fit the lift motor because thats the original spec.

    Mine failed years ago. It was slow and noisy so I updated to a hydraulic ram. I pruchased a used trim motor and pump and installed a hydraulic cylinder in place of the old electric unit.

    Works quiet and fast now. Nothing against the electric model, I just wanted to be different!

    Hi, does anyone have the wiring diagram for the hatch switch (6 connector)?

    Thanks,

    I thought one of the hatch lift motors was going out so I switched the left motor for the right. It turned out to be the wire connectors so I replaced them with insulated spade connectors and they both work fine now.

    Thanks for the pics and the info. The pics were great I have a z220 and this is the exact application i have. They both work but I have been redoing some things and have been working on the wiring by the switches.

    I was reading through this and thinking "Hydraulic would be so much better" but it looks like Tmonson beat me to it. The hydro would be almost maintenance free, and you wouldn't have the issue with one side going up faster than the other. Might look into doing mine in the spring, and put together a tutorial if it works out okay.

    I have just got mine working (both of them) checked wiring etc. and they are now functioning. I was going to check the numbers but they are identical to the ones Zackattack has shown. I have a 1994 z220.

    ''Dan Kitchen' posted this information in the Facebook Mariah owners group;

    ** In case anyone want this info here it is. I have a 98 Jubilee Z244 and it was missing the hatch actuator and lift strut. Bought a progressive automation systems linear actuator off Amazon for $160. Retracted it goes to 24” and extended it is 40”. I got the 16” model for 100lb lift. It moves at about 2.5” per second and opens the hatch in about 7-8 seconds. The assist strut I got at Advance Auto was $15. it is number 4644 and extended it is about 20” and 31lb of lift. I had a 55lb strut at first and it was too much. This really isn’t the best setup having one of each but it works ok… The Jubilee doesn’t have room for another actuator. The actuator is smooth and quiet I would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs a replacement from the slow factory ones. Happy boating! **
