HELP......Transducer Instalation Question.....HELP
 

I have a '91 Diablo MX 18', I have an Eagle GPS/Sonar that I am planning on installing this week. My plan is install the transducer in the bilge area inside the boat. I just read the instalation instructions and it states that if there is wood in between the transducer and the water it will not read properly. Does anybody know if there was wood on the bottom of these boats? Or better yet does anybody have a Sonar installed with a shoot thru the hull transducer? I am a bassboat guy, so I am new to this runabout thing. I want to get it installed but want to make sure it's done right. Thanks for your help.

Lots of our member boats run thru the hull transducers as standard equipment so it should not be a problem for you to add one.
