Re: shore power
Hey Dean, typically you have a shore power panel some where inside your boat to switch on both the main shore power as well as the battery charger.

Re: shore power
There is one question though, is your shorepower a large (~3") round shaped silver or white receptacle on the starboard side of the boat, directly under the windshield?
Or is it a smaller (~2") round black colored jack located on the back of the boat? If it's the large round receptacle on the side of the boat, then that's a true shorepower system, and you should have a panel or a switch somewhere inside your cabin. If it's the second one, that's just a standard plug for an 3-prong extension cord for the battery charger located inside your engine compartment. |
Re: shore power

Re: shore power
Hey Tazzyou, where are you located? I hate these Northern climates myself (Ontario, Canada) and this is the worse time of the year when the snow is gone but the ice still prevails...Last year was mid April but we're looking at May this year for sure!

Re: shore power
Hey all..... brought home my 1997 Z255 yesterday. It has shore power as well, but no panel? What gives on these things? Any boat with shore power needs to be able to switch from AC to DC. How do I charge the batteries? Watch the TV or listen to the radio at dock without using battery power. Help!!!
