Default Newby ? Maitenance for non mechanical owner

I just bought a 1999 182 Shabah, partly because of looking at this site and wanting a "classic" boat. I understand the Mercruiser should not be an issue, but how about other items to keep the boat running? I am not mechanical, I need a mechanic for about everything other than oil changes.

The Mercruiser powerplant shouldn't be an issue, any service facility or marine mechanic knows how to fix them and get replacement parts. There's also service manuals that can help if you decide to tackle any mechanical repairs. For everything else, you'll find all you need to know here! And if you've got any questions, just feel free to ask!

see if you can get the history( maintenance) . If you are going to use it on lake michigan and you already have a boat you should be well aware of the maintenance issues. Remember its smaller and you dont want to have an unforseen break down. Mariah's are great lots of luck !!!!!!
