Default Looking at a 1993 shabah 21 ffot

This has a close bow, but like a cuddy, no door to access cuddy. Looking for any one who has one, the pictures the owner sent do not give full side view and or top of bow. Searched here but to no avail. The boat is 7 hours away and would like to see a picture of the bow and side before I drive that distance. Also any good or bad about this model?

Thanks

Hrmm.. I've never seen a closed bow Mariah. Not saying they never had one but it does sound a little peculiar. Will be an interesting thread to watch.

    Welcome to the boards.

Sellers says it is a 21 foot Shabah ....thats all they know...
If you look at the pictures, you can see there is no cuddy door or anything, just space under the bow....

Doesnt appear to be a cuddy but rather just a closed bow. Storage/wasted space is all that is under deck. Anything over 2 adults and 2 kids is going to get crowded real soon on that boat IMO. We all have different preferences and mine is for a bowrider of boats this size to accommodate extra passengers for your outings. Good luck locating one and you cant go wrong with a well maintained Mariah.

Well I've seen one now, thanks.
I'm with rajjneef, sure isn't much room in a boat that size without an open bow. Wouldn't suit my needs. I would even go so far as to say that the resale value of it should be quite a bit lower than either a cuddy or bow rider. It does look like a nice boat though, in the super low resolution pics anyway.

The advantage of a closed bow is that they're safer in really rough water because if you stuff the nose you run less chance of swamping the boat.

I found this one on ebay and really liked the look of it... although it doens't look like it's in very good shape. I agree though, I love my open bow... and if I were to change to anything else it would be a Cuddy with useful space. This boat looks as if it's faded fairly bad and the interior looks to be rough... but probably a good price.

    OK, two now. Thanks guys.
I would say that's around a $5K boat. I think it'd be fun to prop it up clear to a 23 and see what you could get out of it.
