Re: Mariah Z212
You're kidding.....right? Hopefully you haven't been running the boat without the air blower installed? Mine has one air blower hooked up to an exhaust vent line and a separate vent line with no blower (or is it 'sucker' :) ) to inhale fresh air.

Re: Mariah Z212
What year? My '99 Z212 has a blower on the port side, mounted to the transom, just behind the trim pump. It blows air out the vent above the swim platform. The starboard side has a tube that goes into the bilge, under the engine and basically brings outside air in based on the suction from the blower side.

Re: Mariah Z212
I have one blower with only one hose on the port side, mounted in the same area as indykoch. I've often thought of experimenting around and adding a second blower designed as a "sucker" to bring more fresh air in.

Re: Mariah Z212
Yes i did run the boat without but so did the previous owner.I do however open the eng compartment before starting and i stay at crusing speed so it should draft enough air. However i am going to put 2 units in mine. One for bringing in fresh air and the other for sucking fumes out. While im fixing the gimbal ring on it.
Mine is a 94 model i havent looked yet but does anyone know where the wires to connect the blower are located.boath ot my air ducts are on the port side.Any pics out there? |
Re: Mariah Z212
The MAIN times you need the blower is if you are refueling at the docks or starting if you keep your boat in a slip. If you trailer your boat you've pretty much got more airflow in there than a blower is going to do anyway. Also if your engine is totally enclosed such as in a cruiser where its covered by the floor.
