Gel Coat
I am the happy owner of a 1997 Shabah 185. Runs and looks great (kind of). I had it detailed and was told that the gel coat is wearing thin. Not be a "boat guy" I'm not really sure what you do for this. I have received contrary advice: 1) have the gel coat re done (cost about $2000) or simply get the baot painted (they say much cheaper and that it looks just as good). Does any one have any experience with this issue? Thanks

Re: Gel Coat
I haven't had a problem with my gelcoat so I can't answer the question for you but... if you type in "Gelcoat" in the "Search the forums:" box at the top of the page you will find lots of discussion on the subject. :wink_thumbup:
