How often should trailer bunks be replaced? I have a 1995 180 Talari that has been stored indoors since new and the bunks appear to be solid and the carpet is in good condition. Should I consider a new set?

Hi Carl, if the wood and the carpet look to be in good shape, I don't see any reason to replace them and while you're at it, don't forget to check the bunk attaching hardware as well (I seem to recall one of our members losing a bunk bolt while trailering, luckily, no harm was done)

On our original trailer for our SeaRay, the bunks and carpet were over 12 years old and still going strong, unfortunately the frame rusted out due to repeated saltwater launches.
