7.4L in a Shabah

I have a 1995 Z202 shabah with a 7.4L bravo III. Is this even an option for this boat? All the information I have been able to find lists the 5.7L as the biggest available motor. I just want to make sure this boat is rated for that motor.

The '95 brochure shows the max horsepower at the prop to be 275 and the 350MAG as the largest engine option. I believe the 7.4 puts out around 310hp....that should be one hell of a fast boat.:eek_animated:

We have a 95 202 Shabah with a 5.7 Merc/Bravo 3 and it hauls.
Not sure what they were rated for, but if the boat can handle it, you are not going to get passed by much.

x2 I have 5.7L 4bbl with a an apha makes for some decent speed. I would imagine the 7.4L is a refit. I've always found the hull a great performer at speed  so I doubt you'll have nothing but fun.

Hi Everyone! I am a proud new owner of a 2000 Z222 with a 454 cubic inch, EFI Bravo III engine with captain's choice exhaust. The previous owner removed the engine compartment partitions to increase the air flow and reduce the heat build-up to the engine. Does this sound reasonable or should the partitions be re-installed? Thanks for any help :-)

I'm looking to buy same exact boat, 95 z202 with 7.4l bravo III. Looks good and clean.
Missing bow cover and boat cover. Bimini looks aftermarket. Any info? Dealer says that original owner ordered boat with this motor. Was that an option?

All that I can say is "Holy Crap! A Z202 with a 7.4L and a Bravo III??? Will it even stay in the water? I get a mental picture of just the prop being under the waterline as this blur shoots by.....
