Re: Replacement Courtesy Lights
I ordered the 194 LED's from Superbirght in Florissant, MO and after replacing the courtesy lights (white for red I wasn't impressed, same illuminence as the original bulbs. I suspect this is due to the White Plastic Covers that are diffussing them.
The White ones I replced in the engine compartment are better then the original lamps. So that was a plus. Unfortunately I spent allot of money for just a few lamps and a couple of spares. I am interested in the post from dgtek and how those strip lights worked. His Setup is exactly like mine underneath. Also interested in the clear lenses that karmann purchased. That might make my RED led's allot better. :) |
Re: Replacement Courtesy Lights
I basically took the cover off the light, removed the old wiring, wired the new LED to it and stick the LED strip onto the metallic portion of the light fixture. I didnt put the cover back on and saved it.
I'll take pictures during night time next time I go to the cottage. |
Re: Replacement Courtesy Lights
This post I pretty old by now and most of the links are dead.
