Where's the bilge exit haha
I know this has probably been talked about but my dad and I can't find where the bilge spits out the water on our 1994 Shabah Z212 anywhere. We have looked and looked and I'm sure we just keep missing it somewhere. My guess is the little black thing on the left rear step..... Am I wrong. Thanks in advance!:)

Re: Where's the bilge exit haha
By "little black thing on the left rear step" (I assume by this you mean port side of the stern, above the swim... "step," I guess you'd call it), are you referring to something that kind of looks like a vent cap? About as big around as a U.S. nickel or so? If so: I suspect what you're looking at is the fuel tank breather.
On our '94 182 Barchetta, the bilge pump exit is on the starboard side of the boat, about half-way up the freeboard, I guess, near the aft end of the engine space. In fact: Look at this picture: http://www.mariahownersclub.com/gall...xterior&n=2131 You can clearly see it. Jim |
Re: Where's the bilge exit haha
you could always put some water in the bilge and turn on the bilge pump to see where it comes out....

Re: Where's the bilge exit haha
I assumed they're typically on the starboard side somewhere, on runabouts, so the captain can see the volume of water coming out.

Re: Where's the bilge exit haha
Found it, but yeah the bilge must not be working because we cleaned out the engine bay, and the bilge never kicked any water out, theref was looking from inside the boat and i guess i didnt stick my head far enough over the side to see the hole.....:shakehead:
