What do I have???
 

Hi there, I am the proud owner of a 1992 Shabah, That is where I am lost. I dont want to post pics yet as I am cleaning her up as she has been sitting Idle for 2 years and a little under the weather. The USCG plaque shows a 19 foot bowrider, the graphics look the same as Tbrookens 21 foot and also the same as a 20 foot that is for sale online. Mine has hunter green gelcoat that is polishing up just fine. I assume from reading on this site that my girl is a Z?? I have all the goodies, power seats, docking lights, wipers, thru hull exhaust , 350 mag. I have seen documents with this that conflict with 20 foot and 19. What did Mariah build that I have. Thanks!!

Its probably easiest to post some pics of the interior & exterior so we can compare against the brochure pics. Failing that you could send you hull ID# to one of our admin guys 'Mariahman' or 'ShabahZ250" and i believe they can give you the info on it.

Mariah made a Shabah 198Z, a 1900Z and a 2000Z in '92. The graphics were similar on different sizes.
I suspect if you are sure its a Shabah and it has the 350 then it is a 198Z. The 1900Z didn't come with the V8 & the 2000Z would show as a 20' boat on the USGA plaque.

Thanks for the info. I am going to get some better pictures tomorrow. The HIN is ##### . I am trying to figure out if the 4th digit from the end is a 0 or a C. Thanks again!!

Hi, here is a picture of my mariah. I am in the midst of cleaning her up before I post some pictures on the site iin the gallery. Again as I posted up top what the boat has and the assumption of a 198z seems correct. I got the boat for 2500 and the only problem seems to be the gimble bearing and boots. The previous owner wanted to know why I wanted to remove the drive as it was winterized by a marina. I told them its always for precaution as if water enters the gimble area it wont only ruin the bearing but ruin the seals on the drive. The water in the area was only dampness so the drive is ok. Always take the drive off once a year for only this reason, let alone replacing the pump every other year. Thanks again in advance for any information on my boat. :)

I can confirm your boat is a Z198 Shabah. The hull was made on 3/17/92, and the boat was set to be completed and shipped to the dealer on 3/25/92. This is directly from the factory build sheets, which will be posted to the site soon. And that digit you were confused about is a "C" :wink_thumbup:
