Batt. switch

Hello friends and neighbors,

I've got a 2001 Mariah 218 and and I started to have a problem with my starter batt. going dead. I looked down around the batt. and the batt. switch and found a wire cut. It's a small one with a round fuse but I cant read what amp it is. The one end is connected to the #1 selection on the switch. I used a jumper wire from the broken wire to the positive terminal on the #1 starter batt. and it work, what I mean by working is that it started with #1 batt. which it would start unless I used the both or #2 switch. II would then switch it back to #1 to charge the batt. What I really nead is a electrical diagram that shows how the batteries and battery switch is wired.. I forgot to tell you that that even though the jumper wire worked the wire got really hot so I dont think the jumper was in the right place even though it worked. I hope this all makes sense, if not ask me if there something I might be leaving out or did

Thanks to all. You have always helped!!!!
