Batteries Dual Purpose vs Deep Cycle

I know there has been a lot of talk about batteries, but I don't recall anyone talking about Dual Purpose batteries. The reason I ask is because it seems you can get a DP with 1000 MC amps and a reserve of about 180 which seems pretty good. Where for the same price you can get a Deep Cycle 775 MCA and 175 Reserve.

Am I missing something about Dual Purpose batteries?

I plan to run two of them and have a switch to select the other if I need to use it as a backup.

Re: Batteries Dual Purpose vs Deep Cycle

The dual purpose seems like a win-win situation if you ask me. As long as they're Marine rated, I'd say go for it.
