Question Faulty Tachometer

Does anyone know if Fariah gives a lifetime warranty on their gauges? I own a 1999 Mariah Shabah 202 and the tach has failed. If they do not cover what is the best way to replace it with the same with the Mariah name?
Thanks,
John in Tennessee

They do. Contact Faria and send it back to them. I sent mine back this Fall, no worries. Only cost was shipping, $60 bucks I think. And you get to keep the Mariah name!

Before you send it back though, check to see if corrosion at the electrical connection or the ground is causing the problem. Also, if you have easy access, give that little dial on the back of the gauge a spin and reset it to the correct engine size (4cyl, 6 cyl, 8 cyl). If i still doesn't work then as ewcjoro says, Faria stands behind their products.

Good point Mikeyt. I had assumed that the tach was known to be faulty! Never assume!!!

Thanks for the reply. I sent the tach to Fariah and they fixed it. Now I have another problem. I just installed it tonight but I'm getting the alarm signal and it will not turn off. I don't remember it being wired or connected to the tach but maybe it was. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    John

    Mikeyt,
I received my tach back from Fariah today and I installed it. Now I'm getting the alarm under the dash. Man I didn't think when I disconnected that the alarm was involved. It has been 8 weeks and maybe I forgot something. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    John
