Shabah 212 Carburated or Fuel injected
Looking at a Shabah 212 94
How can I tell if it is carburated or fuel injected, is there a quick way to tell? |
Re: Shabah 212 Carburated or Fuel injected
You can usually tell by the flame arrestor. It's hidden underneath the decorative plastic cover. If it's circular and on top of the engine, that's a pretty dead giveaway it's carbed. It looks very similar to the photo below. This is a photo of the new 5.0L carbed engine.

Also, the engine cover is labeled with the letters MPI (multi port injected) or EFI (electronic fuel injection). http://www.mercurymarine.com/_media/..._200hp_mpi.jpg Hope this helps a little bit. However I'll make a guess due to it being a 1994, it's probably carb. |
