Red face Proud new owner 98 Jubilee with questions

Hi everyone. I love the web site, I found it looking for info on my 98 Jubilee. I purchased this boat last week. Awesome boat looks great , the 454 mercruser ran great on the water, so I took it home. I'll load some pics of it later. Even my wife liked it(she doesn't like boats very much). After cleaning it up some we took it out and within 10 minutes of running it the over heat alarm came on. We got back to shore and took it back home with my wife not saying much but really wanting to say something. Anyway, I opened the sea pump up to find nothing left of the impellar. A bunch of the impellar pieces were stuck in the ports of the the pump and some fell out of the two hoses that connected to the pump. Question #1. Is there any type of strainer/filter thingee that would catch the bits and pieces that came from the pump, and if so where is it located? #2. If there is not a strainer, should I disconnect all the hoses and try and flush it out? Or if you have a better idea please let me know. #3. Is there anytype of wiring schematic for my boat? I have about 7 accessory switches I don't know what they are for. #4. Is there anytype of checklist out there for someone to go over if they don't know how the boat was cared for. Last question #5. Where might be the location of my horn? I am sorry I have so many questions for my first thread but I really want to get my boat back in the water before my wife starts to yak at me. Oh by the way, I have just made a donation to become a Platnum member, so hello everybody. Thanks for any help

First welcome aboard! We love our Jubilee, your wife will too when everything is running proper. With all the room they have are boat always ends up the dance floor later in the evening at party cove. As far as your other questions i'll let the gear heads handle that, i know enough to get me in trouble.

No one else has taken a shot, so I will... If I remember correctly, the head area has a single light and two? fabric (vinyl) covered buttons on the upper ceiling. If you were to remove these, (the buttons pop off with a screwdriver) there will be 2 or 3" screws "hidden" next to the snap locations, holding the ceiling up. Removal is fairly easy, and it will allow access to the back side of the dash, the horn I believe, and steering rack. It may be four buttons, can't remember. If there are four, the two aft most will be screwed in vertically to wooden blocks on the aft panel. Would need to see a pic. Almost all Mariah components were attached using screws to mount the panel, then a snap next to the screw with a button on it. Don't know if this helps or not.

I have a 1997 214 Jubilee. My horns are located behind the starboard speaker next to the little entry gate in the bow of the boat.
