I just installed a fuel/water seperator on my 1994 3.0 Barchetta Never had one. How often should the element be changed?
Also, is anyone with a Merc experiencing any "Phase Seperation" of the fuel (as per Merc's website) and what are the symtoms? I don't buy gas at a marina but rather fill-up myself from a gas station.

I change my fuel/water filter every season.

I'm not familiar with the phase separation issue.
