Default 2002 245z stc? where is it?

I am looking for some information on this boat. I have recently bought a mariah boat, which i believe is a 2002 245z stc. The person I bought it from advertised it as a 28' shabah. And me not knowing much about boats or lengths, I just fell in love with the boat and bought it. I was measuring the boat for a new cover and it came out just under 25'. So I tried to find a boat similar on the internet and could only find the 275z st. but I could see the different lay out, such as the sink and fridge. Then I found this site with a boat just like mine, a 2002 245z stc. I have looked on the nada, and tried to find info on this boat, but to no avail. And according to this site it should be in the sea fox era being a 2002, besides it is a z model. If anyone has any info or history on this boat it would be much appreciated. ( the title said it was 28' and the only description was shabah) but the vin matches. Please help.

The 2002 models were still made by Mariah Boats Inc., not by Sea Fox. Mariah went under on May 23, 2001, but they were already producing the 2002 models. So, chances are, your boat is one of the last 20-30 boats produced by Mariah Boats Inc.

The true length of the Z245 STC models were around 25ft. The next size up, the Z275 STC's are around 28ft. I guess if your previous owner installed an aftermarket swim platform, it would be closer to 28 ft. I believe there might be one member on the site who owns a Z245 STC, there are a few who own the Z275 STC. If you've got any questions about your boat, feel free to ask, we'll be more than willing to help!

Thank you shabah z250, I am also wondering where I can find some information on this boat. Every site I look up doesnt list this boat. or very many 2002 boats at all. Another question. Is this the only year the 245z stc was made? and how many.

I believe 2002 was the only year the Z245 STC was made, and as of right now, we have no record of how many z245 stc's were made. Mariah was experiencing some extremely tough financial times up until they closed in May '01, and were producing a very limited number of boats until they closed.

    check this link:
    Hull Identification Numbers

You can use this to determine the year and month of production your boat was made. Let us know what it was! We're trying to solve the mystery of the 2002 model year boats.

According to the build sheets that I have there were 16 of the 2002 Z245 STC's made. The last one was completed on April 27, 2001.
They made the Z245 in 2001 but I do not see any of the STC Models in 01.
    Hope this helps a little.

I just looked up my HIN and the last 4# are D102, april of 2002.

I was trying to blue book my boat and the nada doesnt show any mariah boats for 2002. That was my main objective at first was to find out what it is worth. But it has been fun learning the history of it also. I sure appriciate the help.
Thanks chris and mike. (but i am still trying to find a way to get the value of this boat, so if anyone has any ideas.) Thanks again.

    Bob

The closest you may get to finding "A" value is to look up the NADA value of a 2001 Z245. Then by looking through a Manual for the 01 Z245 compare your options/additions to it and see if Chris or someone on the Forum has a ballpark idea of the additional value of your options plus the additional value of it being a year newer.
I'm not sure what else you might do! Hope this helps.

The 2001 Z245 was a Jubilee model. Price estimates will be a lot different for that. You might want to look up the used price of a 2001 Z275 STC and see what you can find there. Then using the standard "nice used boat" pricing, of $1,000 per foot, subtract $3k from the price.
