Not for sale- what is the value on a 98 Shabah 18'

Got a link on a ultra clean 1998 18' Shabah. On a 1-10 scale its a 10. Would look like new with a good detail cleaning. Very low hours and only freshwater. Also with the factory trailer and covers.

What's the value on it?

I paid $6700.00 for mine a few months ago but it needs interior work. The work should run 1500-2000. But your best beat it to run it through NADA with all the features that will give you a good ball park figure with a little premium if it is in perfect condition.

Re: Not for sale- what is the value on a 98 Shabah 18'

I was told by a dealer that NADA for boats is not very close to pricing. But this was from a salesman.

NADA for cars is updated weekly and they have access to the wholesale auction houses to see whats getting sold and for what price along with the countless dealers.

NADA for boats is only updated every quarter, 90 days. Plus there isn't the volume of boats getting sold like cars. There aren't any large marine auction places.

Made sense but it came from a used car/boat saleman. :shakehead:

NADA for this boat was I think 5800.00 which is less than what a cheap Bayliner is selling for. Basically I just compated all 18' boats from 1997-2000 from quality manufactors and then the new cheap bayliners. So I offered a price based on that overall sales of 18' boats. I'll pay bayliner prices for a quality Mariah!:wink_thumbup:;):):D
