My 1990 2000XL is Home but have ?

Took the 1990 2000XL to the shop today and had them go over the boat looking to any issues, none found. They were impressed with the shape of the 19 year old boat.

Started cleaning the interior and going through everything (going to take awhile to get is were I want it). I found the bow remote flood light (docking light that pops out of the ancher locker) is not working and has the plasitc cover broken. I went through the parts forum and could not find a replacement. Anyone have an idea is I can get a replacement, or an I going to get creative with a fix.

I plan on taking her out the Mississippi this weekend with the family, should be fun.

Thanks

RVS

Hi RVSwisher, great to here your '90 2000 XL checked out with flying colors!

We've had a couple of other members with this same light and they had issues too. Sadly, getting creative is probably what you will have to do. It appears this was a custom in-house built unit. I have tried to find any more information on this light but so far I have come up zero :(.

The biggest issue I know of with these lights is the motor assembly going out so the light doesn't go up or down but from some pictures posted by one of our other members it didn't look too difficult to repair or fabricate. Unfortunately, I was hoping to get a hold of one of these for a through examination so I could take detailed photos and measurements to see if any pieces could be substituted with readily available hardware or to come up with some ideas for having some parts re-fabricated or if possible, locating any vendor made parts.

Anyway, that's where it stands for the moment, so good luck with yours and if you run out of ideas, go ahead and post some pictures of the light showing the problem areas and I'm sure our members can come up with some creative ideas for getting it back in shape :wink_thumbup:.
